Dedicated Patient Support

Dedicated support

We call you before your initial appointment with the cardiologist to welcome you to the clinic, and help you prepare for your appointment by sending you important information about your condition.
We will follow up with you by phone after your initial consultation to ensure that you understand the information given to you by the cardiologist, therefore our Clinic coordinator will provide education and support in all aspects of your management plan.

Specialised care

Your Cardiologist is a key part of your management and we will take time to understand your test results, explain your condition and develop a plan for you. We will discuss your treatment options with you and answer any questions as well as explain what you can do to improve your symptoms.
You will have timely access to all the latest treatment options and full support and education throughout any procedures.

Integrated Care

Diagnostic testing

What does Atrial Fibrillation Feel Like?

There are lots of different ways that our patients describe their AFib. Some of these include:

  • Thunder rumbling in my chest
  • Like my shirt flapping
  • Like a fish flopping in my chest
  • Like a pressure, squeezing or fullness
  • Like thumping or bumping in the chest
  • Feeling exhausted or wiped out
  • Fluttering like a butterfly
  • Pounding like I’ve run fast
